JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo's attitude towards the fate of 75 KPK employees who did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK) assessment was appreciated by the KPK Employees' Forum. This was conveyed by kpk chief of staff Yudi Purnomo.

Where Jokowi's stance is firm TWK is not necessarily the basis for dismissing 75 kpk employees who are called ineligible. The 75 employees were one of them Novel Baswedan.

Yudi thanked Jokowi for keeping the spirit of corruption eradication and not letting the KPK be weakened further through TWK and employee status.

"Thank God, Mr. President Jokowi maintains the spirit of eradicating corruption and does not let the KPK be weakened. We fully support your order regarding the transfer of kpk employee status," Yudi said when confirmed, Monday, May 17.

Previously, President Joko Widodo stated that kpk must have the best human resources and be highly committed in efforts to eradicate corruption.

Therefore, the transfer of kpk employee status to state civil apparatus (ASN) should be part of efforts to eradicate corruption more systematically.

According to Jokowi, the results of national insight tests on KPK employees should be input for anticorruption agency improvement measures both individually, and institutionally.

Jokowi stressed that the twk assessment result is not the basis for dismissing 75 employees who were declared ineligible.

"It is not necessarily the basis for dismissing 75 KPK employees who were declared not to pass the test," Jokowi said in a statement via a video posted by the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account.

On the other hand, said Jokowi, if there are shortcomings in the internal KPK, then there is still an opportunity to improve. One of the channels is improving through education about national insight.

"And immediate improvement measures need to be taken at the individual and organizational level," he said.

In addition, Jokowi also agreed with the consideration of the Constitutional Court (MK) in the test decision of Law No. 19 of 2019 on the Second Amendment of the KPK Law. Jokowi expects the transfer of kpk employee status in accordance with the ruling.

"Stating that the process of transferring the status of KPK employees to ASN should not harm the right of KPK employees to be appointed as ASN," said Jokowi.

Therefore, Jokowi asked the relevant parties, especially the kpk leadership, Minister of Administrative And Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo and Head of The State Staffing Agency Bima Haria Wibisana to design the transfer of kpk employee status to ASN, especially against 75 employees who were declared ineligible.

"Planning a follow-up for 75 KPK employees who were declared not to pass the test with the principles as I said earlier," explained Jokowi.
