JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung assessed that the younger generation has an important role to play in making the capital a global, inclusive and cultured city.
Pramono asked the youth to help realize the increase in Jakarta's ranking as a global city. Pramono conveyed this invitation after leading the Pancasila Sanctity Day Commemoration Ceremony at the DKI Jakarta City Hall yard.
"For Jakarta, namely making Jakarta a global city, inclusive, cultured, and ranking always increases, no longer 74, hopefully under 50 in the near future. The role of youth is very large," said Pramono, Wednesday, October 1.
The former Cabinet Secretary assessed that each generation faces different challenges of the era. For today's youth, the main challenge is how to have a big dream to advance the nation, including in encouraging the transformation of Jakarta.
"Now the challenges are very different, but as a nation that is building, the most important challenge is how these young people have high dreams to advance this nation," said Pramono.
Pramono added that the commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day is not just an annual ceremonial, but a reminder for all elements of the nation to reaffirm their commitment to the Pancasila ideology and maintain unity and integrity.
"This momentum is a reminder to reaffirm our nation's commitment to ideology and also to maintain the unity of the nation's unity, as well as as as a bulwark to face various problems and challenges of the nation in the future," he said.
