DPR Leaders Will Accept Coalition Of Labor Unions Tomorrow, Labor Action Canceled

JAKARTA - The action of the Workers' Union Coalition (KSP-PB) which is planned to be held in front of the DPR building tomorrow, Tuesday, September 30, was canceled.

The labor action was canceled because the leadership of the DPR would receive a delegation of 50 representatives from the Labor Party and the Coalition of the Workers Union who submitted the draft of the Indonesian labor bill. However, it is not yet known who the leadership of the DPR will hold the meeting.

"The delegation of 50 KSP-PB representatives on September 30, 2205 at 12.00 WIB will be received by the leadership of the DPR RI in order to submit a draft password for the Indonesian Labor and Labor Party version of the Labor Bill," said KSPI President who is also the President of the Labor Party, Said Iqbal, in a written statement, Monday, September 29.

Said Iqbal explained that KSP-PB consisted of 73 elements of the labor movement from the Labor Party, the 4 largest trade union confederations, 59 trade union federations at the national level from various industrial sectors.

Some of them are the automotive industry sector, electronics, basic metals, chemicals, energy, mining, textiles, garment, shoes, pharmaceuticals, cement industry, printing, plantations, transportation, crew, port workers, mineral drinking water. Then, medical personnel, teachers, lecturers, campus workers, digital platform workers, content creators, etc.

"There are also 9 populist organizations such as the Farmers' Union, Ojol Community, PRT JALA, urban poor networks, migrant workers, fishing alliances, honorary staff, and others," he said.

The draft of the Labor Bill version of the Indonesian Labor and Labor Party made by the KSP-PB team consists of three parts, namely:

(1) The first section contains principles that must be formulated in the process of making the Employment Bill, both formally and materially.

(2) The second part contains the main points of the mind of the Indonesian labor bill made by the SP-PB team which contains to provide protection to all Indonesian workers in various job sectors.

With details: manufacturing workers, digital platform workers, medical personnel workers, crew workers, education and campus workers, BUMN workers, honorary workers, media crew workers and journalists, domestic workers, migrant workers, gigs workers, and so on.

(3) The third part contains a draft code for legal norms / article on the Indonesian labor bill which is made by the KSP PB Team.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Tuesday, September 30, KSP-PB will hold a live broadcast press conference in front of the main gate of the DPR RI, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, before entering the room of Commission V of the DPR RI. This press release will be represented by 10 KSP-PB leaders.
