JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria reminded that travelers who will return home to Jakarta will get a screening by the neighboring association (RT) and local residents (RW).

"If you arrive in Jakarta, there will be a check, examination at RT-RW," Riza said at Balai Kota DKI, Central Jakarta, Monday, May 17.

Riza said that this check aims to find out that people who are desperate to go home and return to Jakarta are certainly not carrying coronavirus.

"Indeed all must be ensured in a safe position.  So, do not return to Jakarta carrying the virus. Everything we check up to the level of RT-RW," he said.

Screening at RT and RW is the second tier examination on a community scale. The COVID-19 task force at the RT and RW level coordinates with the camat, lurah, Babinkabtibmas, and Babinsa to record the citizens entering the Jakarta area after Eid al-Fitr 1442 H.

The Head of RT and RW will be provided with a special application to report twice a day on conditions in the region. Travelers are ensured healthy and not symptomatic of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the first-tier screening is carried out by vehicle sealing officers. Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Fadil Imran consulted travelers who wanted to return to Jakarta to bring COVID-19-free certificate. Otherwise, travelers will be required to undergo isolation.

"To the people who will return to Jakarta, in order to equip themselves with a covid-19-free certificate," said Irjen Fadil.
