KPK Calls Jokowi's Brother-in-law, Billy Haryanto Regarding The DJKA Bribery Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of a rice entrepreneur who is also called the 7th President's brother-in-law of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Billy Haryanto. He was questioned regarding the bribery case of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Monday, September 29.

He is known to have been summoned several times in this case on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 and Thursday, July 20, 2023 but was never present. Meanwhile, Budi has not detailed the summons material and only mentions Billy being questioned as a witness.

"The KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses suspected of corruption related to the construction of railway lines within the DJKA Region of East Java," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK again detained three suspects in the bribery case for the procurement and maintenance of the railway line at the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA (Kemenhub). They are the head of a working group (Pokja) in a number of projects.

These three people are Hardho, Edi Purnomo, and Budi Prasetiyo. The determination of the three as suspects is the development of bribes by Dion Renato Sugiarto to the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) within the Semarang BTP.

The bribery case of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) related to allegations of corruption at the Class I Railway Engineering Center for the Central Java Region. This action was carried out on April 11, 2023.

From the silent operation, the anti-corruption commission then named 10 suspects. Four parties are suspected of being bribers of the Director of PT Istana Putra Agung (IPA) Dion Renato Sugiarto (DIN); Director of PT Dwifarita Fajarkharisma, Muchamad Hikmat (MUH); Director of PT KA Management Properti until February 2023 Yoseph Ibrahim (YOS); and VP of PT KA Management Properti Parjono (PAR).

Meanwhile, those suspected of being recipients are the Director of Railway Infrastructure Harno Trimadi (HNO); Head of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center (BTP) Putu Sumarjaya; Commitment Making Officer (PPK) BTP Central Java Bernard Hasibuan (BEN); PPK BPKA South Sulawesi Achmad Affandi (AFF); PPK for Railway Infrastructure Fadliansyah (FAD); and PPK BTP West Java Synto Pirjani Hutabarat (SYN).

In addition, there are also two suspects who were named on January 22, 2024. They are Yofi Okatrisza as ASN at the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and former auditor of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Medi Yanto Sipahutar.
