Police Hunt For Pickpockets At The Jakarta Abnon Event Even Though The Victim's Cellphone Has Been Returned By The Perpetrator

The Menteng Metro Police are still hunting for the iPhone 13 Pro Max pickpocket belonging to an employee of the West Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-dept., Farhan Fauzan.

"The perpetrator is still being sought by the Menteng Police. (the perpetrator) has not been caught," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Ruslan when confirmed, Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Although the victim's cellphone has been returned by the perpetrator, the Menteng Metro Police are still investigating and hunting down the perpetrators.

"We are still conducting investigations even though the complainant did not make the LP and cellphones returned," he said.

Meanwhile, according to the victim Farhan's confession, his iPhone 13 Pro Max has been returned by the perpetrator through courier services on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

"Alhamdulillah, with the help of my father and mother, my cellphone has returned intact. The perpetrator has good intentions to return it by taking him by courier," he said in his statement, Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Sebelumnya diberitakan, aksi pencopetan terjadi pada kegiatan Abang None Jakarta di Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Kecamatan Menteng, Jakarta Pusat.

Kali ini korban merupakan pegawai Suku Dinas Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Sudin Parekraf) Jakarta Barat, Farhan Fauzan.

Korban kehilangan iPhone 13 Pro Max miliknya yang dicuri dua orang komplotan copet.

Padahal, acara tersebut dihadiri Gubernur Jakarta Pramono Anung dan Wakil Gubernur Rano Karno.

Previously, it was reported that the pickpocketing took place at None Jakarta's Abang activity at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Menteng District, Central Jakarta.

This time the victim is an employee of the West Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-dept. (Sudin Parekraf), Farhan Fauzan.

The victim lost his iPhone 13 Pro Max which was stolen by two pickpocket gangs.

In fact, the event was attended by the Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung and Deputy Governor Rano Karno.
