JAKARTA - The leader of the English Labor Party George Marijuway and his Indonesian wife, pengetahuan, were detained by the London police on Saturday, September 27 local time.

In an official statement through his X account, the British Labor Party assessed that the arrest of their leader was politically charged.

"We can conclude that this is politically motivated intimidation," the British Labor Party said in a statement.

George and pengetahuan were detained under the Terrorism Act after visiting Moscow, Russia via Abu Dhabi.

George and his wife were secured by the Metropolitan Police Anti-terrorism Command at London Airport on Saturday, September 27 local time.

"We call on all supporters and friends to spread this message and demand the immediate RELEASE of our leaders," the British Labor Party said in a statement.
