SERANG - The Education and Culture Office (Dindikbud) of Serang City, Banten Province implemented a strict three-stage monitoring system to ensure the safety and quality of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program.

Head of Serang City Dindikbud Ahmad Nuri in Serang, Saturday, said that this layered monitoring mechanism is the key to the success of the program running safely without any incidents.

He said that the program had been running in almost 60 percent of schools in the area, with a total of 24 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG).

"Alhamdulillah, until now in Serang City there has been no poisoning. This is thanks to the monitoring pattern we have implemented in schools," he said.

He detailed that the first stage of supervision was carried out directly by the principal and the teachers by monitoring the kitchen to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and the cooking process according to standards.

The second stage, he continued, was the pecip or tester team from the school. This team must taste and check the food first before it is distributed to the students.

"There is a test team from the school. After being declared safe by them, then the food is served to the students," he said.

Meanwhile, the third stage is supervision during meal hours, where teachers accompany and participate in meals with students. Nuri added that the program targeting PAUD, TK, SD, and SMP students received a positive response and there was no rejection from public schools or guardians of students. His party targets this program to cover 100 percent of schools in early November 2025.

"This program has positive implications, the impact is very pronounced, especially in rural areas that require nutritional intake for students," he concluded.
