President Prabowo's Speech At The UN Session, Head Of PP GEKIRA: Success On The International Stage, Time To Succeed Domestically

JAKARTA - The Hall of the United Nations General Assembly (UN) witnessed the return of Indonesian voices on the world podium.

After a decade of absence from the live presence, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, was present to deliver his first speech at the United Nations 80th General Assembly.

General Chairperson of the Central Executive of the Greater Indonesia Christian Movement (PP GEKIRA) Nikson Silalahi conveyed that what had been conveyed at the general assembly felt very shaking the world.

The content of Prabowo's speech also not only conveyed the current condition of the world which is not fine, but Prabowo also provided a solution.

"Pribowo's speech feels very shaking the world because one side not only conveys that the current world condition is not okay but on the other hand also provides solutions," Nikson said in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday (25/9/2025).

What is the solution that Prabowo provides? First, it is stated that food security in the world is currently very disturbed. With what Indonesia is currently doing, Indonesia can self-sufficiency in food, and can even export and help deliver rice to Palestine.

Continue, said Nikson, Indonesia is currently moving to build energy security, namely green energy, meaning that as soon as possible it will change the dependence of fossil energy on new and renewable energy that is environmentally friendly.

The next one concerns the conflict in Gaza that has caused many casualties, especially children.

Nikson appreciated Prabowo's statement that the statements of world leaders regarding the conflict in Gaza were not just rhetoric and slogans.

Indonesia itself has expressed its readiness, first sending world peacekeepers under UN control. The second is through the United Nations and Prabowo expressed his readiness to support financially.

"But once again it must be interpreted in the sense that what happened in Gaza is a humanitarian tragedy. Therefore, fellow humans must ensure that there are no casualties," said Nikson.

Regarding the prolonged conflict between Palestine and Israel, Prabowo's solution to recognizing the two countries, according to Nikson, is the best solution among difficult choices.

For Israel, of course, this is a difficult choice because they think the territory occupied by Palestine if it is recognized that independence is their territory. This understanding is certainly different from the Palestinian point of view.

"Therefore, with the differences of opinion between the two countries, it will be difficult to imagine when they will make peace," he added.

Therefore, what Prabowo said for today was a breakthrough, namely Indonesia encouraging the independence of Palestine and the recognition of the Palestinian state as a sovereign country. But simultaneously, Prabowo ensured that if Palestine was recognized for independence, Indonesia would recognize the existence of an Israeli state and support security guarantees to Israel. which we know today has been attacked and has the potential to be attacked by other countries around it.

"That's what I think Pak Prabowo's role abroad is extraordinary. Indonesia's current name is highly appreciated by the world, including Indonesia's attitude from the past, namely the non-block attitude and ensuring the sovereignty of all nations and supporting world peace," he said.

"This means that during the current government period, Pak Prabowo not only raised Indonesia's name in the international arena, but also provided a brilliant solution for world peace," he added.

However, said Nikson, when he was successful in the international arena, Prabowo would return to Indonesia and there were state tasks that he had to prioritize immediately because they involved the success of the Asta Cita programs he conveyed to the public and public messages which have recently been illustrated through actions that have even led to riots.

"The messages or points conveyed by the community have reached Pak Prabowo, whether through demonstrations or also among the community, including figures who have met Pak Prabowo," said Nikson.

According to Nikson, Prabowo's focus today was the first on police reform.

Regarding this police reform, Prabowo said that he would reform the police, and would even form a reform team.

But today, said Nikson, the public is a little disappointed because what people are waiting for is reforms formed by the president or palace, not a reform team formed by the police chief.

"What the police want to reform is the police, how come they formed a police reform team. This is not connected. What Prabowo hopes is that the people from Prabowo to become a reform team are people from various circles including the police who are considered to be able to help Prabowo to carry out police reforms," said Nikson.

Prabowo's next focus, said Nikson, is a free nutritious food program (MBG) that is very much needed by the community.

Today there are too many reports stating there are deficiencies here and there, and the President must step in. Don't let this good program be only because there are a shortage of one or two cases, so it is considered a program that is not needed by the community. This is a danger," he explained.

Nikson explained that from the cases that emerged, he himself did not know whether anyone had sabotaged him. But on the other hand, there must be a shortage of new programs whether it was by the perpetrators of the activities themselves (BGN) or the implementers in the field.

Then the next focus concerns the Red and White Cooperative which is also full of caution. Nikson explained, we must understand President Prabowo's intention to celebrate the establishment of the Red and White Cooperative of up to 80 thousand.

"But we see that it is not easy in a short time to expect it to run neatly with 80 thousand cooperatives. Maybe it needs to be reorganized, meaning there are measurable steps," he said.

For example, said Nikson, it was created first in priority areas that became pilot projects. Don't be massively first, while many regions are not ready.

Including the source of funding expected from banks. This is what the president needs to pay attention to," said Nikson.

Finally, according to Nikson, some circles also expect a follow-up reshuffle in President Prabowo's cabinet.

Currently, the level of people's trust in President Prabowo Subianto's ability and willingness to lead this country is more advanced, fairer very high, but the public considers that there are several cabinet members who are suspected of being fully loyal to the president, including their policies that are not in accordance with the Asta Cita president program.
