JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the President Director of PT Wahana Adyarma, Menas Erwin Djohansyah, was arrested because he was absent twice from the summons of investigators regarding the alleged bribery in case management at the Supreme Court (MA). There was no reason for the businessman to be considered uncooperative.

"The arrest was made considering that the person concerned had not been present at the summons for examination for no reason," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in his statement, Wednesday, September 24 evening.

Menas is known to have been summoned twice on Monday, July 28 and Tuesday, August 12. However, he never showed his nose at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Returning to Budi, he said the Minister of Rice was arrested in the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) area, South Tangerang. Meanwhile, his attorney, Elfano Eneilmy, said his client was arrested at his family home.

"In detail, I have not received definite information. Earlier, his information was secured at his family's house," Elfano said when confirmed.

The Minister of Rice is currently still at the anti-corruption commission office. He arrived at around 20.42 WIB along with a number of investigators and KPK officers.

Meanwhile, Menas Erwin is known to have been investigated several times in this case. He has also been named a suspect along with former Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan in his development.

In addition, the KPK has also developed a bribery case for case management in the Supreme Court under the suspicion of money laundering (TPPU). Although it has not been detailed, the information is that there are three suspects, namely Hasbi Hasan, singer Windy Idol, and Rinaldo Septariando B as entrepreneur who is also Windy's older brother.

As previously reported, former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Hasbi Hasan has been sentenced to 6 years in prison in a bribery case by the Jakarta Corruption Court and has to pay a fine of Rp. 1 billion and a replacement money of Rp. 3,880,844,400 subsidiary of one year in prison. He was proven to have accepted bribes related to the management of the Intidana Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) case in the Supreme Court together with former Independent Commissioner Wijaya Karya (Wika) Dadan Tri Yudianto.

In this case, Dadan Tri Yudianto's sentence was increased by PT DKI Jakarta to nine years in prison from the previous five years. He was required to pay a fine of Rp. 1 billion and a replacement money of Rp. 7.95 billion, subsidiary to three years in prison.
