Ancol Expands, PDIP Suspects Managers Want To Add Profit

JAKARTA - Ancol Dreamland is crowded with tourists on Eid holidays. Many people who are in the ancol beach by crowding and not wearing masks.

In fact, on Friday, May 14, Ancol was visited by 43 thousand visitors. This figure exceeds the 30 percent visitor limit rule during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Member of PDIP Faction of DPRD DKI, Gilbert Simanjuntak suspects ancol manager deliberately loosened the number of visitors and allowed violations of health protocols in order to increase profits.

"About the crowd in Ancol, I do not understand if the tour manager deliberately loosened the supervision because he saw an opportunity to increase the profit. I don't know," Gilbert told VOI, Sunday, May 15.

As a result of this crowd, the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy (Disparekraf) DKI decided to temporarily close the tourist scene. Gilbert supported the decision.

It's just that, the policy of the Provincial Government of Dki Jakarta should not stop there. Gilbert assessed the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan evaluating the cause of the crowd that occurred in the tourist attractions.

"If it is later reopened, it must be evaluated why it can be so. Whether they are not able to parse the crowd, this has to be evaluated," Gilbert said.

"What the decision is, depending on the findings later. can increase supervision or how, depending on the results of the evaluation," he added.

As is known, the crowd that occurred in Ancol blinded Disparekraf DKI to three tourist attractions, namely Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), and Ragunan Wildlife Park.

Especially for tourism in Ancol, the management of PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol claimed to be improving the application of health protocols in tourist areas during the operation is closed.

"We understand the inconvenience and disappointment of visitors who are forced to cancel the intention to spend eid holidays in ancol area because of the closure of the area" said President Director of Ancol Dreamland Teuku Sahir Syahali.

Furthermore, visitors who already have online tickets that can not be recreation during the closing of Ancol can use it twice and valid until December 31, 2021.
