Chicken Farming In Belitung Babel Is Prohibited From Using Melon Gas

JAKARTA - The Belitung Regency Government (Pemkab) in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) prohibits chicken farming business actors from using 3 kilograms of subsidized LPG or melon gas.

Deputy Regent of Belitung, Syamsir said that melon gas is only intended for underprivileged residents.

"We prohibit chicken farming businesses, especially large companies, from using three kilograms of LPG or subsidized gas," he said in Sijuk, Belitung, Monday, which was confiscated by Antara.

This was conveyed after reviewing one of the "broillary" broiler farm in Sungai Padang Village, Sijuk District, which allegedly used three kilograms of LPG gas in its business activities based on video recordings circulating on social media.

He explicitly prohibits chicken farming companies in the area from using three kilograms of LPG gas in carrying out their business activities.

"We will carry out supervision by coordinating with the village government so that the chicken farm business does not use three kilograms of LPG," he said.

He said that apart from not being used for these business activities, the use of three kilograms of LPG by large-scale chicken farm players also has the potential to cause a shortage of three kilograms of LPG gas in the community.

He added that his party will also check with a number of other chicken farm companies to find out directly whether anyone uses subsidized gas or not.

"Later, we will make a circular so that large-scale chicken farming companies do not use three kilograms of LPG gas, if business actors are found using three kilograms of LPG gas, of course there will be sanctions in accordance with the provisions," said the Deputy Regent.
