PALU - The Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the Central Sulawesi Police thwarted the circulation of more than seven kilograms of methamphetamine in Palu City.

The police arrested two perpetrators with the initials VR (29) and MH (26) in a house that was used as a warehouse on Jalan BTN Lasoani, early Sunday.
The arrest was led directly by Kanit 1 Sub-Directorate 1 of the Narcotics Directorate AKP Pabia Palulun. During the search, the police found methamphetamine packaged in various forms, including large durian plastic packages.
From the arrest, the police confiscated a number of evidences, including six kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in large durian plastic packages, two packages of methamphetamine weighing one kilogram each, and 25 yellow ecstasy pills. In addition, the police also confiscated suction equipment, digital scales, several cell phones, and bags.
The two perpetrators are now being held at the Central Sulawesi Regional Police for intensive examination. They were charged with Article 112 paragraph (2) and Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of life imprisonment or the death penalty.
