Crowded Visitors In Ragunan, Police Conduct Traffic Engineering At The Entrance

JAKARTA - The enthusiasm of visitors to Ragunan Wildlife Park, South Jakarta is so high that traffic around the entrance is heavy and resulted in the police had a temporary closure.

"Engineering of police arrangements occurs because the density is not decomposed so a temporary diversion is carried out. But, after the density is decomposed reopened", Ragunan Wildlife Park Public Relations Chief Wahyudi Bambang told VOI, Saturday, May 15.

This density, he said, occurs because many visitors do not comply with the terms of visit such as not having a DKI Jakarta ID card and not registering first. Thus, they were denied entry to the Ragunan area and forced to turn around.

"So there were visitors who came spontaneously without going through the online registration procedure. So this (makes density, red) because we ask for a u-turn or refuse because of that factor", he said.

The number of visitors present at the tourist attractions reached 16,480 people. This is still part of the set number of visitors of 30 percent or about 30 thousand.

Wahyudi said the condition of visitors who attended also adhered to health protocols. Because, in the area, there is a health protocol monitoring team from the internal Ragunan, tourism and creative economy office, to the police.

"So with that condition, visitors relatively comply with health protocols in the Ragunan area", he said.

Furthermore, to prevent similar density from occurring on Sunday, May 16, he urged prospective visitors to follow the visit procedures in force in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Including, registering in advance before purchasing a ticket.

"If we don't obey it, we will not invite them in and we ask for a u-turn", he said.

"It is necessary to understand that there is still a COVID pandemic atmosphere, so the restrictions are in place so as not to be affected or at risk of exposure to the COVID-19.
