New SNBP 2026 Rules: Participants Must Have TKA Value

YOGYAKARTA The rules for accepting new students through the National Selection Based on Achievements (SNBP) have changed. Starting in 2026, there are a number of rules and adjustments that must be known by participants in the selection to enter universities. The regulation has been stipulated by the National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) on Tuesday, September 16. The new SNBP 2026 rules include several things including the schedule for registering SNPMB accounts to using the value of foreign workers. For more details, see the following article.

The latest 2026 SNBP rules were conveyed by the General Chairperson of SNPMB, Eduart Wlok during the 2026 SNPMB Launch Press Conference on the SNPMB ID YouTube channel, Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

In his statement, Eduart explained that the launch of the 2026 SNPMB was indeed carried out earlier because there were several new provisions applied in the PTN selection next year. The following are the points of explanation summarized by the VOI team.

Students who meet the criteria for the 2026 SNBP participants are the best and meet the school quota. Meanwhile, the number of quotas is determined by the school.

Participants participating in the 2026 SNBP must have a TKA hasiah. Eduart explained that the value of foreign workers was obtained by means of a test conducted nationally. The value of foreign workers will be the validator of the report card value.

Please note, foreign workers are an assessment held by the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) specifically for high school students. The TKA test will be held in November 2025.
