DKI Transportation Agency Seals Parking At Dharma Jaya Land, President Director: We Are Fooled By Operators

JAKARTA - President Director of Perumda Dharma Jaya Raditya Endra Budiman opened his voice about sealing the parking location in his office because he did not have a permit. Raditya emphasized that Dharma Jaya did not know that the operation of parking services managed by third parties was illegal.

There are two parking areas on the land owned by Dharma Jaya that were sealed, namely the Dharma Jaya Milling Slaughterhouse and Dharma Jaya Pulogadung, East Jakarta. This parking area is managed by PT Saranawisesa Propindo, which is a subsidiary of BUMD Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya.

"Saranawisesa is a BUMD subsidiary. We want to synergize with BUMD, that's all. I'm just sure about the issue of permits. What they convey is that all the permits are complete. But if it turns out to be a lie, we also don't know," Raditya told reporters, Friday, September 19.

As a follow-up, Raditya admitted that he would immediately stop parking management cooperation with Saranawisesa Propindo. Dharma Jaya, he continued, will check the certainty of parking management permits for third parties in the future.

"We will cut it immediately. We will try to adjust it according to the rules. In the future, we will wait for directions from the provincial government. What is certain is that if for example there will be new operators, all permits must be complete," he explained.

For information, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency's Parking Unit (UP) sealed two parking areas on Dharma Jaya's land, namely the Dharma Jaya Milling Slaughterhouse and Dharma Jaya Pulogadung, East Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 17, due to illegal operations.

Head of UP Parking Dishub DKI Jakarta, Adji Kusampto, said that at least 24 parking locations had been sealed by the DKI Transportation Agency. This sealing was carried out after the parking operator ignored and corrected the permit after the third warning letter (SP3).

A similar action operation, continued Adji, is still ongoing in line with the supervision of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Parking Special Committee (Pansus).

"There are quite a lot of those that have been sealed, yes, around 20 locations have been sealed. Then for those who are not licensed. Because of this we are still running with the Special Committee, so the data is still running," said Adji, Wednesday, September 17.

Chairman of the Parking Special Committee for the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Jupiter, said that his party believes that there are more than 50 illegal parking operators.

The fraud of these operators, according to Jupiter, is detrimental to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government because it has the potential to experience a 70 percent parking tax revenue leak with a nominal value of around Rp700 billion.

"Until today, we believe that illegal operators also have potential in terms of evading taxes, they do not report taxes and there is also potential in that direction," explained Jupiter.

"Therefore, we will compile and recommend comprehensively so that in the future we will install tools in real time integrated to Bapenda (Regional Revenue Agency)," he continued.
