SENTANI - Jayapura Regent Yunus Wonda stated that the visit of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to Jayapura Regency is believed to bring positive changes to Papua.
"We believe that the visit of the Vice President will bring changes to Papua, especially Jayapura Regency in the future," said Yunus Wonda in Sentani, Antara, Thursday, September 18.
According to him, during a visit to SMP Negeri 2 Sentani, the Vice President asked the students directly regarding the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program and reviewed the Free Health Check (CKG) program at Harapan Health Center, East Sentani District.
"After conducting a review, the Vice President already knows what needs to be considered and evaluated," he said.
Yunus Wonda expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Vice President at the two locations and ensured that the national program ran well in Jayapura.
"In the future, we will ensure that all national programs, both MBG and CKG, in Jayapura Regency will run well," he said.
He added that his party will also support the central government's plan to expand the MBG program for teachers in all educational units.
