Man In Banjarmasin Arrested For Selling Sabu During Eid

BANJARMASIN - Directorate of Drug Reserse South Kalimantan Police revealed the circulation of 719.52 grams of methamphetamine on Eid al-Fitr. Meth dealer in Banjarmasin arrested.

"The suspect with the initials AB (37) was arrested on Jalan Mangga Banjarmasin while conducting a methamphetamine transaction," said Director of Drug Reserse of Kalsel Kombes Tri Wahyudi Police in Banjarmasin, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 14.

Although at the arrest at the location was not found drugs, but the police moved quickly herded the suspect to his home in Jalan Veteran Banjarmasin.

As a result of the search of the perpetrator's residence, a team led by The Head of Subdivision 1 of Kalsel Police Department AKBP Meilki Bharata managed to find evidence of 10 packages of methamphetamine weighing 719.52 grams.

Now police are still developing a network that controls suspects because it is believed to act as a drug storage warehouse.

"The city is still being pursued because this network is large enough to see the evidence found," beber Tri Wahyudi.

He said that drug trafficking does not necessarily decrease during Ramadan and even on Eid al-Fitr is also prone to smuggling illicit goods from outside the province.

"The dealer network often utilizes momentum in the hope that officers are off guard like during Lebaran. But I emphasize to members to remain vigilant and continue to monitor drug trafficking movements," he concluded.
