Multiple Positions, Angga Raka's Position As Komut PT Telkom Will Be Evaluated By The Government

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said the government would evaluate the position of President Commissioner of PT Telkom held by Angga Raka Prabowo.

The reason is, now Angga Raka has concurrently 3 positions. Apart from BUMN, Angga Raka has also served as Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Wamenkomdigi), and has just been appointed as the Government Communications Agency.

"His position at the commissioners, we will see to what extent, of course, the first is a matter of regulation," said Prasetyo at the State Palace, Wednesday, September 17.

However, Prasetyo emphasized that the appointment of Angga Raka as President Commissioner of Telkom was carried out based on an assignment that was in accordance with his work in the cabinet.

"Our brothers and sisters who serve as commissioners are part of their assignments according to their duties and functions, for example, the Deputy Minister of Communication and Trade is given the task of becoming the main commissioner in Telkom," said Prasetyo.

"Now, with him being asked to become the head of the government communication agency, we will see later, we will evaluate the first from the side of the legislation, the second from the function side," he continued.

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 11 state officials of the Red and White Cabinet at the State Palace today. One of them is Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Wamenkomdigi) Angga Raka Prabowo as Head of the Government Communications Agency.

After the inauguration, Angga Raka admitted that his new position replaced the Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), which was previously held by Hasan Nasbi.

In line with this inauguration, Prabowo also dismissed Hasan Nasbi from his position.

"This Government Communication Agency has added an assignment from the President in the field of communication. This is not a new body, but this is a transformation of PCO," said Angga Raka at the Palace.

However, Angga Raka admitted that he was still serving as Deputy Minister of Communication and Digi. He said that his new position was used to strengthen the role of communication both internally between ministries and institutions, as well as external communication to the public.

"This is in line with my position in Wamenkomdigi. We are strengthening communication so that all programs of the President, the government program are delivered properly to the public," he said.
