JAKARTA - British Prime Minister (PM) Keir Starmer has been urged to impose sanctions on Elon Musk, owner of social media platforms X and Tesla who allegedly provoked mass anti-immigrant demonstrations in London last weekend.

Citing AP, Monday 15 September, Starmer has condemned violence in the anti-immigrant demonstration titled "Unite the Kingdom" which was held in London on Saturday 13 September.

The demonstration, which involved more than 100,000 people, was organized by England's far-right activist, Tommy Robinson.

Police said at the demonstration 26 officers were injured, four of whom were seriously injured.

Chaos occurred as anti-immigrant demonstrators tried to break through the barrier line set by the authorities to separate anti-immigrant protesters from the mass of anti-racist counters in London.

As many as 25 people were arrested during the demonstration. The London Metropolitan Police said those involved in the riots were more numerous and would soon be arrested.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk wrote an invitation to heat up the atmosphere as the anti-immigrant demonstration in England took place.

Musk called for the dissolution of the British Parliament, early elections, and the change of government in Britain.

He wrote on his social media platform to protesters: "Violence will come to you" and "you fight or you die."
