KPU Does Not Open The Certificate Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates, Commission II Of The DPR: People Apply For Work Aja Using CV Especially Leaders

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Dede Yusuf responded to the KPU's decision to issue a decision not to be able to open diploma documents which are requirements for presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) to the public without approval for security reasons.

Dede said Commission II of the DPR would ask the KPU about the decision. Because according to him, public official data is data that must be transparent.

"Every candidate for public officials, be it the DPR, minister, president, I think it is a data that everyone should be able to see. Because people only use CV on job pages, especially if they want to apply to become leaders," said Dede Yusuf at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 15.

Dede ensured that in time Commission II of the DPR would question this to the KPU, during a working meeting in the DPR.

"There will also be discussions later, but we will ask later, why, what is the argument? We just know. If we don't give it a look, we don't know," he said.

"I don't think there is a problem, what can't be opened is health data because there is a medical note. If the others are allowed, accounts, diplomas, I don't think it's a problem. If we make SKCK, it's like that," added Dede.

Regarding the mechanism, Dede Yusuf assessed that the KPU's decision needs to be discussed with the DPR if it is included in the revision of the Election Law. However, he said, if the KPU regulation (PKPU) is the authority of the election organizers.

"That's Per KPU, right? But if we want to talk about the revision of the election law that we may implement, we can take advantage of it, what kind of public transparency. If this is the new Per Kpu, right? Meanwhile, the KPU, which is currently 2027, is over. So later we will include it in the law," said Dede.
