Former Mayor Of Bandung, Yana Mulyana Free Of Conditions From Sukamiskin Prison

JAKARTA - Former Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, who is a convict in a corruption case, was released from the Sukamiskin Penitentiary (Lapas), Bandung City, West Java.

Public Relations of Sukamiskin Bandung Prison, Yemen Nuryaman, confirmed that Yana had been released on condition since June 13, 2025.

"Pak Yana Mulyana has received conditional release and was faced with the Bandung Fathers on June 13, 2025," said Yemen when confirmed in Bandung, Sunday.

The news of Yana's freedom was also seen in the upload of the Head of BPBD Bandung City, Didi Ruswandi, on his personal Instagram account. In the video entitled 'the former sub-district head', Yana appears to be taking pictures with a number of her colleagues.

Regarding the case, the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Bandung District Court, West Java, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, sentenced Yana Mulyana to four years in prison in the bribery case for the procurement of CCTV Bandung Smart City.

In addition to the criminal sentence, the judge in the verdict hearing at the Bandung Corruption Court also sentenced Yana Mulyana to pay a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.

The presiding judge, Hera Kartiningsih, in his ruling stated that Yana Mulyana was legally and convincingly proven to have committed a criminal act of corruption in accepting gratuities in the CCTV procurement project case at the Bandung City Transportation Service.

"The defendant was sentenced to four years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, provided that if he was not paid, he was replaced with three months in prison," said Kartiningsih.

The panel of judges stated that Yana Mulyana was proven to have received gratuities in the form of money and facilities to Thailand from Benny as Director of PT Sarana Mitra Adiguna (SMA), Andreas Guntoro as Vertical Slution Manager of PT SMA, and Sony Setiadi as Director of PT Citra Jelajah Informatika (CIFO).
