JAKARTA - Chairman of Indonesian Traditional Fishermen (KNTI), Daeng Tahir urged the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to immediately build a special port for fishermen on the coast of Cilincing, North Jakarta.

"We will ask the DKI Provincial Government with existing stakeholders and construction actors to provide special port opportunities for fishermen," said Daeng Tahir when confirmed, Friday, September 12, 2025.

His party claimed to have met a number of fishing figures in Kalibaru, Cilincing and Marunda.

"Now we will go forward to use the Kalibaru, Cilincing and Marunda (KCM) associations. Earlier we had a meeting (and) agreed (about) special ports for fishermen," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the objection to KCN's sea concrete, fishermen have not received a response from the central government or local governments.

"This is urgent in nature. The solution requested by fishermen must be carried out immediately. If that is not done, we will make sure that in the future (stupid) will occur," he said.

The concrete embankment in the middle of the coast of Cilincing waters, North Jakarta, was again firmly established. As a result, local fishermen find it difficult to find fish because it is blocked by the concrete wall.

According to local fishermen's information, the 3 kilometer long concrete embankment is planned to be used for barges and coal shelters belonging to the company in Marunda.

T, one of the fishermen in the Cilincing area, said that as many as 25 thousand heads of families (KK) who depend on their lives are only looking for fish in the Jakarta Bay area.

"As a result, income is reduced. Usually, before there is a concrete, it can reach millions of around Rp. 3 million to Rp. 5 million. After this, at most overnight it will get Rp. 50 thousand," said T when confirmed by reporters, Friday, September 12, 2025.

T explained, before there was concrete for the construction of the pier, fishermen usually got various kinds of fish in Cilincing waters.
