The Peruvian Ambassador to Indonesia Luis Tsuboyama expressed his deep sorrow for the death of Indonesian diplomat Zetro Leonardo Purba, ensuring the Peruvian Government's commitment to uncover the shooting case against him and bring the perpetrator to justice.

Speaking while paying his last respects to the body of Zetro at the Pancasila Building, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta, Ambassador Tsuboyama expressed his deep sorrow on behalf of the government, the community and the Peruvian Embassy in Jakarta.

"Peru deeply condolences for the irreplaceable loss and stands in solidarity with the Government of Indonesia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, colleagues and most specifically with the wife, children and family and friends of the deceased in mourning," said Ambassador Tsuboyama, Thursday, September 11.

Ambassador Tsuboyama emphasized the strong commitment of the Peruvian Government to clearly reveal the shooting incident against the Indonesian Embassy in Lima Zetro, Leonardo Purba.

"The president has ordered the relevant Peruvian authorities to carry out investigations with the highest priority, transparency and perseverance with the aim of identifying and bringing those responsible to justice," he said.

"At the same time, additional arrangements have been made to improve security at the Indonesian Embassy in Lima and staff," he added.

Ambassador Tsuboyama believes that close friendship and cooperation between Peru and Indonesia will help the two countries deal with this incident.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono appreciated the fast response and the Peruvian Government's commitment to handling this case and ensuring the security of Indonesian diplomats in Peru.

"To Ambassador Tsuboyama, I would like to express my appreciation from the Indonesian government for Peru's quick response and commitment to handle this case and ensure the security of Indonesian diplomats in Peru. We really appreciate it," said the Indonesian Foreign Minister.

"We believe the Peruvian government will do everything it takes to uncover this issue," he added.

As previously reported, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the death of the Indonesian Embassy in Lima Zetro Leonardo Purba. The deceased was the victim of an unknown party shooting while riding a bicycle in the Av area. CESar Vallejo, Agile, Lima on Monday 1 September. The deceased was rushed to Cl jurisprudence Javier Prado, but his life could not be saved.

The late Zetro left a wife and three children. His body arrived in the country on Tuesday 9 September. Zetro's body will be buried at Sari Mulya Cemetery, Setu District, South Tangerang this afternoon.
