NTB Bawaslu ASN Becomes Suspect Of Embezzlement Of 12 Operational Rental Cars, Police: 3 Units Confiscated

The Mataram City Police (Polresta) named a state civil servant at the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province with the initials LRA as a suspect in the case of alleged embezzlement of dozens of used-operation rental cars.

"Following up on the determination, we summon the person concerned to undergo an initial examination in the status of a suspect," said Head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit Adjunct Commissioner of Police Regi Halili in Mataram, Wednesday, confiscated by Antara.

He said investigators scheduled the examination of LRA as a suspect on Monday 15 September. "We are scheduled for Monday (15 September). We hope that the person concerned can attend," he said.

Regarding the existence of the 12 rental cars for the former NTB Bawaslu operation, Regi stated that his party had mapped it with three cars, including those that had been handed over to the owner of the goods domiciled in Bandung.

"We are still securing the three cars at the police station, the three cars have been brought by the owner, and we have not secured the remaining six cars, but we have mapped the whereabouts of the goods from the examination of LRA's younger brother," he said.

With the determination of the suspect and the results of mapping dozens of vehicles that became the object of the case, Regi emphasized that the handling of this case was already underway at the investigation stage.

This was obtained from the results of the case title which was strengthened from the statements of the parties, starting from LRA when they were still reported, the employer, and the NTB Bawaslu.
