Gus Ipul: People's Schools Have Reached 100 Points, Target 165 October

MAGELANG - The People's School Program (SR) initiated by President Prabowo Subianto showed significant progress. The Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf or familiarly called Gus Ipul, revealed that until September 2025, this program has reached 100 points in all regions, including in Magelang, Central Java.

The next target is to reach 165 points planned to be launched by the president in mid-October.

"A total of 65 points at the end of September were evenly distributed in several places including Central Java. In Central Java there were IA, I B, and I C. I A operating in July 2025, I B in August 2025, and I C in September 2025. In general, thank God it went well," said Gus Ipul while reviewing the Upper Medium People's School (SRMA) 43 in Antasena, Salaman, Magelang Regency, Tuesday 9 September.

Gus Ipul said that students had started to adapt to the prevailing learning and rules. They now know when it is time to study, sleep, clean up, and gain religious knowledge.

"Initially, children did need time to adapt. However, with the togetherness and patience of school principals, teachers, guardians of dormitories, as well as foster guardians, children can now follow the rules. TNI and Polri support also plays an important role in strengthening discipline," he explained.

Learning at People's Schools not only emphasizes academicism, but also discipline, character, and religious education. This program is expected to be an instrument to break the chain of poverty through education and help underprivileged children achieve their goals.

"We just have to be consistent in following all plans. We have translated the ideas and ideas of Mr. President Prabowo Subianto into planning. The implementation of collaboration with local governments and other ministries. We monitor all operations every day, and what is lacking we perfect. If there is a problem, we will find a solution," said Gus Ipul.

The SR program targets children from simple and underprivileged families. Participants are now growing into tough, smart, characterless, and skilled individuals. They also get good nutrition and guidance from professional teachers.

In addition, children will receive various facilities, including eight sets of uniforms and laptops. All of these equipment are still in the distribution process.

"Later, after all children receive equipment, we will report to the President to officially launch the People's School. The estimate is early or mid-October 2025," concluded Gus Ipul.
