JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) provides assistance to families of victims of the philosophical tragedy in Banjaran, Bandung Regency, West Java.

"This case is a reminder of how important it is to strengthen access to counseling services, mental health, and family protection," said Special Staff to the Minister for Disaster Resources Mobilization at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Mochammad Luthfie Beta in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, September 8.

Luthfie emphasized that the government ensures that families get attention, both through psychosocial services and ongoing protection support.

The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture together with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA), the Ministry of Health, BKKBN, BPJS, and local governments strengthen cross-sector synergies in providing protection services.

"The focus of handling is not only on cases that have occurred, but also prevention through family counseling, psychosocial assistance, and early intervention in life pressure faced by the community," he explained.

According to Luthfie, the state must be present to provide protection so that no family is neglected, especially in a stressful situation.

The tragic incident happened to a mother with the initials EN (34) who was found dead with her two children aged nine years and 11 months at their rented house, Friday, September 5.
