JAKARTA - Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan visited three orphanages managed by the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI in Cipayung, East Jakarta, on H-1 ahead of Lebaran.

Anies Baswedan accompanied by his wife began his visit to the Children's Orphanage (PSAA) Balita Tunas Bangsa.

Upon arrival at the location, Anies went directly to the baby room aged 0-7 months which is on the 2nd floor of the Psaa Balita Tunas Bangsa building. In this room, Anies chatted with a number of babies who were raised at PSAA Balita Tunas Bangsa.

Anies also gave gifts to the orphanage children in the form of dolls and also clothes.

Anies said his visit was a form of concern and attention given by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta to those who are less fortunate.

"I want to make sure that the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta does its job as best as possible in caring for, fostering our brothers and sisters who must be cared for by the state," said Anies.

Anies then continued his activities by visiting The Social Home tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 which is located adjacent to the PSAA Balita Tunas Bangsa.

In this place, Anies greets the elderly who are being cared for in social homes. These elderly people are mostly those rescued from the street.

According to Anies, Lebaran should be a moment to get back together with family.

"This is a time where we all get together with family. We feel the opportunity to be in the warmth of the family. Those here are our brothers who can't be with the family," Anies said.

Anies then closed his activities by visiting Bina Laras Harapan Sentosa Social Home which cares for people with mental disorders (ODGJ).

Here Anies see directly the ODGJ given coaching in the form of doormat making activities to draw. Anies said the ODGJ residents of the orphanage were well cared for and cared for.

"Alhamdulillah in this visit can be seen for themselves their condition is well maintained, well served. God willing, this is a picture of all the orphanages managed by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta," he said.
