Tarakan PPP DPC Affirms Support For Muhammad Mardiono, Rejects Provocation Of Party Breakers

JAKARTA The Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the Tarakan City United Development Party (PPP) emphasized full support for Muhammad Mardiono to return to lead PPP as General Chair for the 2025-2030 period.

This support was conveyed in a consolidation forum attended by daily administrators, PAC, to party branches in Tarakan, Saturday (6/9/2025).

The event was opened directly by the PPP Regional Secretary of North Kalimantan Province, Darmadi, who emphasized the importance of unity ahead of the PPP X Congress.

This congress must be a total consolidation event. PPP should not be divided. Because only with cohesiveness can we move forward," Darmadi said in his remarks.

The chairman of the Tarakan PPP DPC, M. Hatta, said that support for Mardiono was born from an objective assessment of his performance while leading the party.

Mr. Mardiono has worked hard to maintain the solidity of the party in the midst of national political dynamics. We in Tarakan assess that his leadership is still needed to bring PPP to a better future," said Hatta.

Hatta also emphasized that the Tarakan PPP DPC would not be provoked by those who tried to divide the congress later.

"We understand that there are people who try to break the voices of cadres in the regions. But for us, the decision to support Mr. Mardiono is final. The failure of PPP in Senayan is not his only fault, but the collective responsibility of all elements of the party. Therefore, blaming only one person is unfair, "he said.

Furthermore, Hatta said that the Tarakan PPP DPC would move the entire party structure to the branch level to ensure that votes at the X Congress solidly support Mardiono.

At the end of the activity, Hatta also said that PPP Tarakan was ready to synergize with the central government in realizing President Prabowo Subianto's five priority programs and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Namely food security, free nutritious food, public schools, free health checks, and the Red and White cooperative.

These five programs are in line with the spirit of the 1945 Constitution and the ideals of people's welfare. PPP Tarakan is ready to become a strategic partner of the government in guarding these programs until the benefits are felt by the community," concluded Hatta.
