Kapuspen TNI: Anarchic Demonstrators Look Trained And Organized

JAKARTA - Head of the TNI Information Center Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah said the mass group that acted anarchically during the demonstration a few days ago looked quite trained and organized.

This was said by Freddy to respond to questions about the large number of people who suspected that the arson and destruction of public facilities were carried out by people who were very professional because they seemed neat.

"Indeed, if we observe the pattern, it looks organized and trained," said Freddy during a press conference at TNI Headquarters, East Jakarta, Friday.

However, Freddy did not want to suspect who the parties trained the rioters and perpetrators of the vandalism were in the middle of a demonstration a few days ago.

Kapuspen also did not want to speculate on who mobilized the masses until finally a situation of anarchism was created.

He said that the TNI was only focused on improving and strengthening the security system so that the burning of public facilities during demonstrations would not happen again.

With this improvement, it is hoped that the TNI will be more prepared to support the Police in maintaining security and public order.

Freddy added that the TNI will also be open and accept public criticism in order to improve its efforts in maintaining security stability during the demonstration.

"We are open to observers who provide input for us to improve self-evaluation as well so that we are more careful, more anticipated and then better prepared to carry out prevention efforts," explained Freddy.
