Minister Of PPA: Children Allegedly Deliberately Involved In Demonstration

The death of Andika Lutfi Fala, a student at SMK Negeri 14 Tangerang Regency after participating in a demonstration at the DPR/MPR building, Senayan August 2025, became a public concern. The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Ministry of PPA) suspects that there are certain parties who deliberately involve children in demonstrations.

Seeing the large number of children who were victims and from the information obtained by the Ministry of PPA, PPPA Minister Arifah Fauzi suspects that certain parties deliberately mobilize children to get involved in demonstrations.

"We received information that there was an invitation via WhatsApp that invited children to watch a concert or soccer match, but it turned out that they were stopped at a certain location," said Arifah on Wednesday, September 3 after visiting Andika's funeral home, at Puri Bidara Tigaraksa, Tangerang.

Responding to this situation, Arifah plans to coordinate with various female community organizations to conduct socialization related to child supervision so as not to participate in demonstrations.

"We will cooperate with women's community organizations to urge them to take care of their children and families so they don't leave the house for a certain time, so that the situation becomes more conducive," he said.

In addition, Arifah expressed her regret and deeply condolences for the tragic events that befell Andika Lutfi.

Previously, Andika was suspected of having a blunt object collision in the head. According to information from the medical team, Andika was critical due to a crack in her back of the head. He breathed his last after undergoing treatment at the Naval Hospital (RSAL) Dr Mintohardjo Jakarta.
