JAKARTA - Ukraine will never agree to legalize Russia's occupation of PLTN Zaporizhia, with the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops is the only way to ensure security there, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry's statement did not directly refer to the statement by Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin during a visit to China, Moscow is ready to cooperate with the United States at the nuclear power plant, which was occupied in the first weeks after Moscow's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
"PLTN Zaporizhia is and will remain an integral part of Ukraine's sovereign territory," the ministry said.
"Any attempt by Russia to question this fact is legally null and void politically," the ministry continued.
