Maintaining DIY's Conduciveness, Polri-TNI Holds Joint Patrol To Prevent Criminality

JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police (Polda) (DIY) intensified joint patrols by cooperating with the TNI and Satpol PP to maintain a conducive atmosphere throughout the DIY area, Tuesday, September 2.

Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Kombes Pol. Ihsan, said that the move was taken following the potential for increased crime in several locations in the area.

"Large-scale patrols in collaboration with the TNI and Satpol PP are our response to the current situation, where we want to prevent criminality," said Ihsan in Yogyakarta, Tuesday, as quoted by Antara.

He said patrol targets include public facilities, economic centers, and areas prone to crime.

"We are present in the field, we are in the midst of society and we are ready to provide protection and a sense of security," he said.

According to Ihsan, the synergy of the joint apparatus is expected to have a deterrent effect on criminals while ensuring public order.

"Let's take care of the privileges of this safe and peaceful Yogya, if we find anything suspicious, we can report it to us because security is our common responsibility," said ihsan.
