The East Jakarta Metro Police are still hunting for the perpetrators of the destruction of the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters and a number of police in the area on Saturday morning, August 30, 2025.

East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Dicky Fertoffan said that until now there has still been no arrest. His party is still conducting identifications because the number of perpetrators is quite large.

"Still not (there are those who have been secured), they are still in the process of identifying the perpetrators because the number is very large," said Dicky in Jakarta, Tuesday.

On the other hand, he confirmed that information about a suspected riot provocateur was secured by the ranks of the Polda Metro Jaya. He said the suspected provocateur was the party who carried out the provocation through social media.

"If the suspected provocateur uses social media, it enters the realm of the Polda Metro Jaya and/or the National Police Headquarters," said Dicky.

Previously, hundreds of people attacked the East Jakarta Metro Police (Jaktim) so dozens of vehicles in the form of cars and motorbikes parked in front of the building were burned to the ground, Saturday (30/8) in the early hours of the morning.

At that time, the crowd came in droves and immediately threw stones at the police building and other hard objects.

The anarchist's actions made the situation around the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters tense. The crowd is said to have thrown Molotov many times into the area within the East Jakarta Metro Police.

In addition to the East Jakarta Metro Police, five Polsek in East Jakarta were also attacked by the masses, namely the Matraman, Makasar, Ciracas, Jatinegara and Cipayung Police.
