Caring For Humanity, Dhuafa Wallet Deploys Medical Team For Action Masses In Some Areas

JAKARTA - Dompet Dhuafa was present to provide a humanitarian response for action participants who needed medical and logistical assistance.

Disaster Management Center Unit (DMC), Free Health Service (LKC), and Community Servant Institutions (LPM), Dompet Dhuafa deployed two ambulance fleets and 15 field personnel to ensure emergency services can be fast.

"Until last Friday, our team was fully alert with the support of two ambulances for services, medical personnel, and humanitarian volunteers. Our focus is to provide first aid and evacuation efforts to people affected by exposure to tear gas and injuries during mass actions, both from the civilian community and security forces," said DMC Dompet Dhuafa Humanitarian Response Field Coordinator Eka Suwand in a written statement, Sunday, August 31.

The majority of medical treatment carried out is overcoming shortness of breath, eye irritation, and minor injuries due to collisions.

In addition, the Dompet Dhuafa team also distributed logistics in the form of food and drinks for the mass of the action that was still standing around the location.

Dompet Dhuafa itself several times had to change dots, adjust the intensity of mass interaction with the apparatus, so that medical services can still be provided optimally.

This mass action was attended by various levels of society, ranging from local residents to participants who came from the Jabodetabek area.

Not only in Jakarta, the Dompet Dhuafa Service action also responded to residents affected by the mass action of offices in the West Java DPRD, one of which was the elderly on Jl. Sulanjana.

"Smoke from the tear gas entered his house," added Yogi Ahmad Fajar as the Head of the West Java Dhuafa Wallet Branch.

Meanwhile, at different locations, the LKC Dompet Dhuafa team also jumped into Madiun, East Java, which has been centered in the Madiun City DPRD area.

Meanwhile in Cilacap, the Central Java LKC team continues to assist residents who are victims in the action of expressing opinions at the Cilacap City DPRD.

"All victims were referred to Ananda Purwokerto Hospital. Meanwhile, LKC Dompet Dhuafa Central Java continues to record and assist the affected residents," said Titi Ngudiati as Head of LKC Dompet Dhuafa Central Java.

Dhuafa's wallet hopes that all parties can maintain their safety.
