Had Clashes, Hundreds Of Demonstrators Resigned From Mako Brimob Kwitang After Dialogue

JAKARTA - Hundreds of demonstrators decided to withdraw from the Mako Brimob area in Kwitang, Central Jakarta, at around 10.25 WIB after having a dialogue with TNI officials and Brimob officers on Friday, August 29.

Based on observations, the masses agreed to withdraw and leave the Mako Brimob area to the Senen flyover, Central Jakarta.

Asintel Kaskostrad Brigadier General Muhammad Nas accompanied by Brimob officer Kompol Anton Asar held a dialogue with the participants of the demonstration.

He asked the demonstrators to resign, but if they wanted to express their aspirations, it could be done through representatives.

"Friends and colleagues, Brimob commanders want to convey, please step back a bit, yes," said Muhammad Nas, confiscated by Antara.

Meanwhile, Brimob officer Kompol Anton Ashar said the National Police Chief had met the parents of an online motorcycle taxi driver named Affan Kurniawan who was the victim of the Brimob tactical vehicle incident.

In addition, he also revealed that currently seven Brimob members have been arrested in connection with the incident.

"We are sorry, it was an accident for us," said Anton.

Hearing the explanation, the representatives of the demonstrators then asked that the seven perpetrators of the collision of the ojol drivers be shown to the public.

After the dialogue was complete, hundreds of TNI personnel escorted the demonstrators back and walked towards the Senen flyover.
