Unconducive, Dozens Of Transjakarta Routes Diverted To Stop Operating

JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta diverted to stop a number of bus routes this morning, ranging from BRT, non-BRT, to Microtrans services. This condition was carried out due to the situation in Jakarta which was still not conducive.

This morning, chaos spread to the East Jakarta area as a result of the death of Affan Kurniawan, an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) who was hit and run over by Brimob's Rantis Barakuda car on Jalan Pemberian Raya, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta on Thursday, August 28 evening.

Chaos occurred on Jalan Otista Raya and Jalan Otista 3, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta. Police officers were involved in clashes with a mob dominated by youth on Friday, August 29, 2025, morning.

Escalation of clashes escalated as police began firing tear gas at the crowd to disperse the crowd.

Clashes between the authorities and the community and the ojol period also occurred in the Brimob Kwitang Headquarters area, Central Jakarta this morning.

Thus, Transjakarta was forced to divert to stop dozens of its services since 05.00 WIB, with the following details:
