Labor Demonstration Masses Start Coming, Traffic In Front Of DPR Still Smooth

JAKARTA - Masses of workers in demonstrations began arriving in front of the DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 28.

Based on the upload of the TMC social media account of the Polda Metro Jaya, the mass of action began to visit the demonstration point in front of the DPR Building at 10.07 WIB.

Meanwhile, the traffic flow in front of the Dpr Building on Jalan Gatot Subroto was observed to be busy.

The demonstration of workers today will be held at a number of points in Indonesia, with its center in front of the DPR Building.

According to an official statement from the Labor Union and Labor Party Coalition (KSP-PB), the mass of workers brought a number of demands in a demonstration Thursday, August 28.

The following are a number of demands:

1. Remove Outsourcing and Reject Cheap Wages (HOSTUM) Urge an increase in the minimum wage in 2026 by 8.5 to 10.5 percent.

2. Stop Layoffs Establish a Task Force (Satgas) for the handling of Termination of Employment (PHK).

3. Labor Tax Reform KSP-PB demands an increase in Non-Taxable Income (PTKP) to IDR 7.5 million per month, as well as the elimination of taxes on severance pay, holiday allowances (THR), Old Age Security (JHT), and tax discrimination against married women.

4. Sahkan RUU Ketenagakerjaan Tanpa Omnibuslaw menolak konsep Omnibuslaw dalam pembahasan aturan ketenagakerjaan.

5. Sahkan RUU Perampasan Asset Sebagai langkah untuk menantas korupsi secara tegas.

6. Revision of the Election Bill Urges the redesign of the electoral system for 2029.
