Get A Letter From KPK, Governor Kepri Remind ASN Not Receive Gratification Eid

TANJUNGPINANG - Governor of Riau Islands Ansar Ahmad reminded ASN in the Kepri Provincial Government is prohibited from receiving Eid gratification.

This was conveyed by Ansar Ahmad through Circular Letter Number: 700/862/It-Prov.Kepri-SET/2021 on the prevention of corruption and gratification control related to the feast, Monday, May 10, 2021.

In the circular, Ansar mentioned in connection with the letter kpk No. 13 of 2021 in order to support efforts to prevent corruption, especially gratification control related to religious holidays or other big day celebrations, urging all ASN in the Kepri Provincial Government not to make requests, grants and receipts of gratification related to the office on the anniversary of Eid al-Fitr.

"Because it can cause a conflict of interest and contrary to the rules and code of ethics of employees and have the risk of criminal sanctions," Ansar was quoted as saying by Antara on Tuesday, May 11.

Not only that, said Ansar, ASN or state organizers who receive gratification related to the position and contrary to their duty obligations, must report to the KPK within 30 days after receiving gratification.

"The request for funds or gifts as THR or other designations by civil servants either individually or on behalf of the state or local government insttusi to the community, companies or civil servants and state organizers both in writing and unwritten is a prohibited act and implied as a crime of corruption," jelas Ansar.

Meanwhile, he continued, for the receipt of gratification in the form of food parcels that are easily damaged or expired can be channeled as social assistance or orphanages, nursing homes and parties in need after reporting to the Gratification Control Unit (UPG) in their respective diamonds accompanied by explanations and documentation of submissions, then UPG will report to the KPK.

"Civil servants are also prohibited from using service facilities for personal benefit, service facilities should only be used for the benefit of the service," Ansar asserted.
