Four Bodies Found In Paris' Senine River, Murderer Arrested

JAKARTA - French police detained a man on suspicion of murder following the discovery of four bodies on the Sea River on the outskirts of Paris earlier this month.

"My client is being investigated for the four murders and detained. He has maintained his right to remain silent during the examination before the investigator judge," said lawyer Antoine Ory.

For legal reasons, Ory said he could not name his client, who was arrested last week and investigated for alleged murder on Sunday.

The four bodies were found close to the Sea River near Choisy-Le-Roi, which is located on the southeastern outskirts of the French capital, according to local newspaper reports.

Two victims are homeless. Another victim is a 48-year-old Frenchman.

While the fourth victim was a 21-year-old Algerian resident, both of whom lived near the scene.

The case is being investigated by the prosecutor's office for Parisian suburbs, Creteil, who did not provide further statements when contacted.
