MATARAM West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) traced a number of valuable assets belonging to two suspected drug dealers in the investigation of money laundering (TPPU), one of which was NJ alias Mandari, a resident of Abian Body, Mataram City.
Director of the NTB Police Narcotics Investigation, Kombes Roman Smaradhana Elhaj, said that this search was part of the investigator's efforts to complete the TPPU case file.
"We are still investigating the assets, which are included in the TPPU. Because there are several assets that have been confiscated first in the main case, the narcotics case. So those who have been confiscated cannot be confiscated again," said Roman in Mataram, Antara, Friday, August 22.
Apart from Mandari, another suspected dealer whose assets were also traced came from Sumbawa Island. The two suspects are currently convicted of narcotics cases.
Roman said that the ML investigation into Mandari was one of the old treatments that had not been completed, even though the main case had been decided by the court.
"One case in Sumbawa, another one a few years ago, namely the Mandari case," he said.
Based on the cassation decision of the Supreme Court Number 1548K/Pid.Sus/2023 dated June 15, 2023, Mandari was sentenced to 7 years in prison, while her husband, I Gede Bayu Pratama, was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
In addition to corporal punishment, both of them were also fined Rp. 1 billion each, subsidiary to three months in prison.
Mandari and her husband were arrested in early January 2021 at an inn in the Kuta area, Central Lombok Regency, along with a number of other people suspected of being part of a drug trafficking network.

The arrests were the result of the development of cases from the previous arrests in the Abian Body area.
