Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Becomes Suspect, Crying Wearing Orange Vest - Handcuffed

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer wore an orange Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detention vest. Noel was named a suspect along with 10 other people after being caught in a sting operation (OTT) on the evening of Wednesday, August 20.

Observations in the field showed Immanuel coming down from the third-floor interrogation room at around 3:35 p.m. WIB. He was wearing an orange vest and appeared to be handcuffed along with the other suspects.

Immanuel was also seen crying. He wiped away tears and his face appeared red.

The suspect determination was carried out through a case presentation or exposé following intensive questioning.

"Last night, the exposé was conducted and the legal status of the parties detained has been determined," KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building in Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, August 22.

In total, the KPK arrested 14 people, including Immanuel Ebenezer, in a series of undercover operations. It is suspected that there was extortion in the processing of safety and health (K3) certification.

Additionally, evidence including money, cars, and motorcycles was seized. These vehicles were also exhibited at the KPK's Merah Putih building in Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

These vehicles include a Toyota Corolla Cross, a Nissan GT-R, a Hyundai Palisade, a Suzuki Jimny, a Vespa Sprint S 150, a black Hyundai Palisade, and a Honda CRV.

Furthermore, there were a Jeep, a Toyota Hilux, a Mitsubishi Xpander, a Hyundai Stargazer, a CRV, a BMW 330i, a Vespa, a Ducati Scrambler, a CRV, a black Mitsubishi Xpander, a Pajero Sport, a Ducati Hypermotoroad 950, a Ducati Xdiavel, and a Ducati motorcycle.
