Handling Of Gratification Case Of Nganjuk Regent Who Got OTT Handed KPK To Bareskrim

JAKARTA - Handling the case of alleged gratification auction of village and camat device position conducted by the Regent of Nganjuk, East Java, Novi Rahman Hidayat handed over kpk to bareskrim polri. OTT Bupati Nganjuk was conducted by a joint team of KPK-Bareskrim.

The joint team's OTT against the Nganjuk Regent was conducted after kpk received a report of alleged gratification of the auction of village and camat device positions around the end of March 2021.

The KPK team then coordinated with the Directorate of Criminal Corruption Bareskrim Polri. As it turns out, the same complaint was also received by bareskrim polri.

From there, KPK and Bareskrim synergized to conduct investigations until a joint team conducted a hand-catching operation against The Regent of Nganjuk Novi Rahman Hidayat.

OTT was conducted Sunday, May 9 after being informed of the handover of money by parties related to the process of filling the position of village and camat devices in Nganjung Regency.

"The Joint Team then followed up and then secured 4 camats in nganjuk district along with evidence of money.  After a request for information obtained the fact that the alleged receipt of some money in question was collected at the direction of the Regent of Nganjuk," said Vice Chairman of kpk Lili Pintauli Siregar in a press conference, Monday, May 10.

The joint team also discovered the fact that some of the alleged camats had handed over some money to the Regent of Nganjuk through his aides. Until finally KPK-Bareskrim arrested Regent Nganjuk Novi Rahman Hidayat.

"For effectiveness and acceleration, the settlement of the case will be continued by the Directorate of Criminal Corruption Bareskrim Mabes Polri. KPK will conduct supervision in accordance with the authority owned by kpk," continued Lili.

He ensured that synergy between law enforcement officials will continue to be conducted in the eradication of corruption

"This matter is a reminder as well as a warning to all regional heads who are responsible for the budget in their regions, to continue to carry out their duties with integrity. Because, KPK and Polri will remain and continue to commit to synergize to eradicate corruption to its roots, until the country is clean from corruption," said Lili.
