Mayor Bobby Nasution Gets 1,000 Packages Of Food From Jokowi, Directly Distributed To The People Of Medan

JAKARTA - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution received 1,000 packages of food from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This food package is directly distributed to the people of Medan.

Mayor Bobby Nasution thanked and thanked Jokowi and his in-laws for their packages of food containing rice, granulated sugar, cooking oil, biscuits and tea bags.

The assistance of food packages from the Secretariat of State (Setneg RI) was handed over by Dita Swastika Ariyani and Dianty Andriawati from the Operational Data Manager and Presidential Assistance to the Medan Regional Government which was received directly by the Mayor of Medan accompanied by Deputy Mayor of Medan Aulia Rachman and the ranks.

"That morning, assistance from the President was directly handed over by the Mayor to underprivileged people in two different locations," said the public relations statement of Pemko Medan, Monday, May 10.

A total of 700 packages were handed over directly to mayor Bobby to underprivileged people in Nelayan Indah Village, Medan Labuhan District. Meanwhile, 300 packages were handed over by the Deputy Mayor to the Blind Association (Pertuni) of Medan City.

Residents of Environment VII, Nelayan Indah Village, Medan Labuhan District, especially the mothers seemed happy to welcome the arrival of Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution.

In addition to receiving food packages, residents also raised complaints related to flooding due to the tide.

Bobby Nasution then reviewed the embankment that had been built by the villagers for about 700 meters. After seeing the condition of the embankment, the Mayor of Medan admitted to worry because the embankment is believed not to be strong to withstand the tide.

"As a solution, the Mayor immediately instructed the District Head of Medan Labuhan to coordinate with the Public Works Office (PU) of Medan city to build a stronger embankment assisted by heavy equipment. The Mayor asked for the base of the embankment that was built later 6 meters wide, then from the base was rebuilt embankment with a width of 4 meters so that it is believed to be able to withstand the tide so that people's homes are not flooded anymore," said the public relations statement of Pemko Medan.

Bobby Nasution requested work begin on Tuesday, May 11. Residents are grateful because Bobby immediately provided a solution to the flood that saban times occurred.
