Today, National Police Chief Inaugurated Wahyu Widada as Inspectorate of General Supervision and 7 New Regional Police Chiefs

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially inaugurated Commissioner General Wahyu Widada as the Inspectorate General of the Indonesian National Police (Itwasum) and several Regional Police Chiefs (Kapolda) on Tuesday, August 19.

The inauguration follows the transfer of police ranks as stipulated in telegram No. ST/1764/VIII/KEP./2025, dated August 5, 2025.

"That's right (the inauguration of the Itwasum and several regional police chiefs)," said National Police Public Relations Division Head Inspector General Shandi Nugroho to VOI on Tuesday, August 19.

Commissioner General Wahyu Widada previously served as the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police. He was then transferred to the Itwasum Polri to replace Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, who was appointed Deputy Chief of Police.

Among the inaugurated regional police chiefs, one is Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, who will assume the position of Chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri is known to have replaced Inspector General Karyoto, who was appointed Head of the National Police's Security and Public Order Agency (Baharkam Polri).

Then, Inspector General Adi Deriyan Jayamarta became the West Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, replacing Inspector General Adang Ginanjar, who is retiring.

North Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy, replaced Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto, who is retiring.

Inspector General Widodo became the Gorontalo Regional Police Chief, replacing Inspector General Eko Wahyu Prasetyo, who is retiring.

Furthermore, Maluku Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Dadang Hartanto, replaced Inspector General Eddy Sumitro Tambunan.

Banten Regional Police Chief, Brigadier General Hengki, replaced Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto, who was transferred to the position of Chief of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) to prepare for an assignment outside the police structure.

Lastly, Aceh Police Chief Brigadier General Marzuki Ali Basyah replaced Inspector General Achmad Kartiko who was transferred as the Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police to prepare for assignments outside the police structure.
