Daop Jember Invites Passengers To Sing National Anthem On The Train

JEMBER - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area (Daop) 9 Jember invites passengers to sing the national anthem Indonesia Raya on the train ahead of the seconds of independence on Sunday at 10.00 WIB.

"We present a unique experience by inviting passengers to celebrate the moments of independence directly on a train that is packaged full of solemn, memorable and meaningful," said Daop 9 Legal and Public Relations Manager Cahyo Widiantoro in Jember, Sunday.

At exactly 10:00 WIB, passengers at the East Mutiara train, Ranggajati train, Sritjung train, Tawangalun train, Probowangi train, and Pandanwangi train were invited to stand up simultaneously singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya on each train.

This activity is in line with the theme of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Unity, Sovereign, People of Prosperous, Advanced Indonesia, so that the atmosphere of commemorating the independence day becomes an unforgettable experience for passengers.

"The moment is even more special with the sound of locomotive horns as a symbol of unity. The passengers appear enthusiastic, stand tall, respect, and sing the national anthem solemnly," he said.

Cahyo said KAI wanted to provide a journey experience that was not only comfortable, but also meaningful at the historic moment.

"With simultaneous activities singing Indonesia Raya on trains and flag ceremonies at the Daop 9 office, we want to strengthen the spirit of nationality and togetherness of all KAI personnel and passengers," he said.

He said KAI is committed to continuing to provide safe, comfortable public transportation, and an important part of the journey of the Indonesian people.

Meanwhile, at the Daop 9 Jember Office, all KAI workers held a flag ceremony at the Daop 9 Jember Tennis Field. The ceremony became a symbol of KAI's commitment to strengthening the spirit of independence through work, integrity, and dedication in service to the community.

Pada Minggu pukul 10.00 WIB, data tercatat sebanyak 44.958 tiket terjual untuk periodi libur panjang 15'18 Agustus 2025.

"This figure is up 38 percent compared to the same period last week which was only 32,587 tickets. This number is expected to continue to increase considering ticket sales are still ongoing," he said.

To anticipate the surge in passengers during this independence holiday period, KAI Daop 9 Jember operates 24 regular trains and 2 additional trains (KA Mutiara Timur Tambahan) which will run on August 15, 2025.

In addition, KAI Daop 9 Jember also presented the Merdeka Promo in the form of a 20 percent discount specifically for travel on August 17, 2025. This promo ticket applies to the purchase of 12 August 17, 2025 through the Access by KAI application and the official website, and can be booked until August 17 at 24.00 WIB.
