Muhammadiyah Welcomes Positive Political Policy Prabowo For Superior Human Resources

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto's political policy to build quality human resources (HR) in commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was appreciated by the General Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Central Executive Haedar Nashir.

"It should be appreciated by the political will (political policy) of President Prabowo Subianto, who focuses on developing quality human resources, encouraging great entrepreneurs to care for the nation, fully favor the small people, uphold the sovereignty of the nation, and other policy breakthroughs based on Astacita," he said in Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 16.

Haedar emphasized that Indonesia's independence is not just an annual ceremony, but a historical mandate that must continue to be fought for so that the noble goals of the nation's founders to advance education to the economy can be realized.

"Alhamdulillah, on the 80th trip of Indonesia's Independence Day, there has been a lot of progress in various fields of life. Education, health, social, political, economic, religious life, and other dimensions of life provide many hope for Indonesia's future," he said.

He also reminded that the younger generation, especially millennials and gen-Z, is the nation's hope to bring the relay to Indonesia's struggle in the new era of the complex post-modern life of the 20th century.

Haedar hopes that the President's political steps and policies will really bring fresh air to the nation. According to him, the direction of this policy must be realized for the sake of a united, sovereign, and prosperous Indonesia.

The professor of Sociology at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta also emphasized that the President's political courage should not stop at the discourse level, but must be fully followed by the relevant government ministries and institutions.

"Most importantly, all ministries and government institutions to the regions follow one rhythm, thus providing new ways and hopes for Indonesia's future which is more advanced after 80 years of independence," said Haedar.

He also emphasized the importance of collective awareness that Indonesia's independence was born through a long and sacrificeful struggle.

Haedar reminded the elites who are now in government to make the constitutional mandate the main guideline. According to him, the mandate of the people is not a means to enrich themselves, but to serve.

"Especially for high-ranking state officials in all government structures, make Indonesia independent as a mandate to serve wholeheartedly in carrying out constitutional orders. Protect all Indonesians and all of Indonesia's blood with full responsibility to give and not ask," he said.

In the midst of increasingly complex global challenges, Haedar emphasized that political commitments that are oriented towards the small people and human resource development are the key. He invited to make independence not just a symbol, but a real movement towards an advanced Indonesia.

"Let's create a sovereign Indonesia, prosperous people, and advanced Indonesia as the theme of this 80th anniversary of independence," said Haedar.
