Minister Of Law And Human Rights On President Prabowo's State Speech: He Is Aware Of Sovereignty In The Hands Of The People

JAKARTA - Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas said President Prabowo Subianto's state speech at the MPR Annual Session was a hope for all Indonesian people.

"What he said was in accordance with the President's Astacita, where he realized that the people's sovereignty was in the hands of the people," Supratman said when met at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, was confiscated by Antara.

Because sovereignty is in the hands of the people and the President is asked to become the current Indonesian captain, he said, the President knows what must and must be done from every stage during the 5 years leading Indonesia.

For this reason, in the first year of the President's tenure, the Minister of Law and Human Rights said that various programs such as Free Nutrition Food (MBG), Red and White Cooperatives, People's Schools, and other strategic programs have been launched.

These various programs, he said, are a manifestation in order to distribute the economy to all levels of society, especially the lower class.

"Therefore, once again this is an extraordinary investment that should have been made long ago," he said.

Thus, Supratman believes that the President does not see this as a problem and continues to try to execute it well so that all basic needs of the people can be met.

Parliament held the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR)-Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia in 2025 at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday.

In a series of Annual Sessions of the MPR and Joint Sessions of the DPR and DPD 2025, President Prabowo Subianto explained a speech on the performance reports of state institutions and state speeches in the context of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.

The Annual Session and Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI 2025 will be held ahead of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme of Sovereign Unity, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia.
