Pangkoops Habema: 8 KKB Members Disabled During Shooting Contacts

JAYAPURA - Pangkoops Habema Maj. Gen. Lucky Avianto said eight KKB members were paralyzed in gunfire in vulnerable areas in the provinces of Papua Mountains and Central Papua.

"KKB members have been paralyzed to create a conducive security situation in the region, especially now that it is ahead of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia," said Pangkoops Habema Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, Thursday, August 14.

It was explained that the eight KKB members who were paralyzed had been carried out since August 8, namely the three members of the KKB group Telgamati Enumbi in Mewoluk District, Puncak Jaya Regency.

Telgamati Enumbi was described dead and Koops Habema personnel confiscated two short-barreled weapons and ammunition as well as radio communications (HT).

Then on Monday (11/8) in Mamba Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, there was a gun battle with the KKB group Kodap VIII Kemabu causing Danyon Titigi, Dece Mujijau, to be killed and two others, namely Daume Maeseni and Sabinus Joani were shot.

On Tuesday (12/8) around Eknemba Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, there was a gun battle that killed two KKB members, namely the Commander of the Mamba Kodap VIII Region, Teleginus Maiseni and his aide Seprianus Maiseni.

"Various pieces of evidence were secured from the three incidents," said TNI Major General Lucky Avianto, adding that his personnel would continue to carry out patrols and sweeps because KKB often interferes with security by carrying out attacks first, as well as intimidating the public.

The KKB also threatens the running of government, development, and public order in the territory of the Land of Papua.

"The sweeping is carried out firmly and measurably to maintain security stability and protect the public, the security forces will not provide space for parties who try to disrupt order and threaten the safety of residents," said Pangkoops Habema Maj. Gen. Lucky Avianto.
