Sadistic Murder In Mesuji, 87 Years Old Elderly Killed 10 Times

MESUJI - An elderly man (elderly) in Mesuji Regency, Lampung was found dead covered in blood in a hut in the plantation area. This 87-year-old man is suspected of being the victim of a sadistic murder because there were a number of gunshot wounds on the victim's body.

Residents of Talang Batu Village, East Mesuji District, Mesuji Regency were shocked by the reported death of an elderly man named Salim alias Hadi.

This 87-year-old man was found dead covered in blood in a hut in the local cassava plantation area on Wednesday (13/8/2025) evening at around 17.30 WIB.

For the purposes of investigation, the police put up a police line and processed the crime scene at the location where the victim's body was found. From the results of the crime scene, the police found a number of stab wounds on the victim's body. The sharp weapon slashes suffered by the victim were on the back, arms, and on the face.

From the results of the crime scene and a temporary investigation, the police concluded that Salim was a victim of a sadistic murder. The many stab wounds on Salim's body confirm the police's suspicion that Salim was the victim of a sadistic murder.

From the crime scene, the police confiscated a number of evidences including sharp machetes which were allegedly used by the perpetrators to brutally kill the victim's life.

Police evacuated the victim's body to a hospital in Mesuji for further identification. It is known that the hut where the victim's body was found was where the victim lived. Since the last three years the victim has lived alone in the hut in the cassava plantation area.

Mesuji Police Chief, AKBP Muhammad Firdaus said, currently his party is still conducting an investigation to arrest the perpetrators and reveal the motive for the murder of the victim

"Currently, it is still in the process of being investigated. Please pray that it can be revealed immediately," said Firdaus at the scene.

According to Firdaus, Salim became a sadistic murder because from the results of the Inafis team's examination there were 10 sharp weapon slashes on the victim's body.

"Five stab wounds on the back, four stab wounds on the upper arm and one stab wound on the face. The victim lives alone in this hut," said Firdaus.

For the purposes of investigating the murder of the victim, the police have asked for statements from a number of witnesses. The victim was allegedly killed by his closest person. The police are currently still investigating to uncover the murder of Salim alias Hadi.
